Choo Choo

Created in 1996 and originally designed to run with a computer, a software glitch forced this to have a last minute brain change. A counter circuit was used to create the needed switching to make this train appear to move. This last minute problem also required the use of 6 mechanical relays since both normally open and normally closed contacts were needed. To make the wheels look like they are moving, 120 clicks per minute were designed into the controller. The end result was over 1 million clicks of each relay. Nearly 2000 miniature lights were used in the construction of this wiring nightmare. It consumes 8 amps when running. Check out what it looked like while under construction.
